Hello Friends and Family,

If you're reading this, it means you've received our wedding invitation!

To save paper, we've decided to send wedding evites and use this blog for supplemental information. Here you can find directions to the hotel and to the wedding spot, as well as updates on places to visit while you're in San Diego, and where we will be hosting some gatherings during the weekend.

Old Town

For comfort and convenience, we chose the Holiday Inn Express located at 3900 Old Town Avenue. Right in the middle of historic Old Town, near downtown, and minutes from the airport, we hope you enjoy your stay there.



You can contact them directly at 619-299-7400 to book a room or visit them at their website. For better results, also try Priceline.

The airport is only minutes away.

• Follow the exit signs in the airport that indicate downtown and I-5. Merge onto Harbor Drive.
  
• Follow Harbor Drive for 1.5 miles until you reach Grape St. and turn left, staying in the left lane.
  
• Follow Grape St. for 1/2 mile. Following signs for I-5 North, go under the highway and turn left on Albatross and a quick left on Hawthorne.
  
• Merge onto I-5 North on the right-hand side.
• Exit at Old Town Ave. Turn right at the light, and go one block to Jefferson. The hotel is on that corner. Turn left on Jefferson to be in front of the main doors.

Location, location, location

The ceremony and reception will be held at Crown Point Shores at Mission Bay Park in San Diego. The water is calm, clean, and perfect for swimming. And there's grass or sand if you want to relax, besides tables set up for us.

The drive from the Old Town hotel to Crown Point Shores is simple and quick, about 15-20 minutes.

• From the hotel, return to Old Town Ave. and head south towards I-5.
  
• Turn right at the light, Moore St., and continue to merge onto I-5 North.
  
• Go just over a mile and exit at I-8 West toward the Beaches.
  
• Take the exit ramp toward the beaches. Once through the turnabout, merge all the way to the right hand lane.
• Turn right at the light, Mission Bay Dr. Drive on Mission Bay Dr./Ingraham St. for 1.5 miles.
• Once you cross the bridge, turn right at the sign that indicates Crown Point. Take a right into the Crown Point Shores parking lot area.
  
• We will meet at the north lot, the furthest, and watch for signs!

Weekend events!

Calling all out of town guests, we invite you to

dinner on Friday night and a Sunday morning brunch.

Dinner will be at 7pm at Nick's at the Pier. The restaurant is in very special Ocean Beach: the site of our first date, the proposal, and many beautiful times in between. We wanted to share this place with you. And we should be right in time to see the sunset!

If you arrive before 7pm, there are shops and boutiques and, of course, the ocean. Can anyone guess in which movie the main street of Newport was featured during the opening scene? Here's the answer!





To arrive from the hotel, take I-5N to 8W towards Beaches. To arrive from Escondido, take I-15S to 8W. As you go through the light leaving the highway, stay in the right-hand lane and turn left at the light. Then merge right onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd into Ocean Beach.

Then turn right on Newport Ave, the light after Santa Monica. Follow Newport Ave 3 blocks to the end of the western coast of California and turn right. There is a parking lot on the left. Nick's is right across from the lot on the second floor above Shades. Or you can park on the street or underneath the building where the restaurant is.

If you're feeling adventurous and have extra time, follow Sunset Cliffs Blvd to the ocean (less than a mile) to see the breathtaking view on...the Cliffs!


Sunday morning brunch will begin at 8:30am to accommodate those with early flights. El Fandango Restaurant in scenic Old Town San Diego will be the meeting place.
